'Hey big spender - take a little advice from us'

National Consumer Week 20 -24 November aims to raise the profile of consumer issues. It is organised by the Trading Standards Institute. This year the theme is major purchases and other topics such as cars , houses.

Coming soon in September is the national annual Citizens Advice service-wide event.

Carers Week this year takes place from 12 - 18 June 2006, with the theme being In Sickness and in Health. Carers Week is organised by eight UK charities - Carers UK, Counsel and Care, Crossroads, Caring for Carers, Help the Aged, Macmillan Cancer Relief, MS Society, Rethink and the Princes Royal Trust for Carers.

Enjoy the benefits of getting older - 'Your Rights Week 2006' is an annual Age Concern campaign to encourage older people to claim their benefit entitlements.
